Dr. Franz-Josef Schmitt

Dr. Franz-Josef Schmitt leitet das Fortgeschrittenenpraktikum und das Physikalische Praktikum im Master Physik an der Martin-Luther-Universität Halle-Wittenberg. In seiner Forschung entwickelt der Methoden der zeitaufgelösten Fluoreszenzspektroskopie zur Untersuchung von neuartigen Fluoreszenzmarkern auf Proteinbasis und deren molekularer Dynamik. Ein weiterer Forschungsschwerpunkt sind Energie- und Elektronentransferprozesse in der Photosynthese.


Franz-Josef Schmitt war seit 2001 an der TU Berlin zunächst als studentische  Hilfskraft mit Lehraufgaben, seit 2005 als wissenschaftlicher  Mitarbeiter und seit seiner Promotion im Jahr 2011 als Postdoc und  Gruppenleiter der Projekte educationZEN und SynTUBio tätig. Er  unterrichtete im Projektlabor Physik, Fortgeschrittenenpraktikum Physik, Mathematik für Chemikerinnen und Chemiker, Praktika für  Physikalische Chemie und hat im Orientierungsstudiengang Mintgrün das  Projektlabor Chemie entwickelt und geleitet.
