We're looking forward to welcome you then or to a later lecture.
"Everything is physics - physics for everyone"
Lectures in experimental physics on a Saturday - free but not worthless
Why?
Physics is known to be everywhere: in the cell phone, in the sauna, in the kitchen... The list is endless. And often we ask ourselves: how does it actually work? Do we want to recognize, like Goethe, what "holds the world together in its innermost"? How do technology and medicine build on these insights?
With our event, we want to supplement physics education in schools and answer some of these questions.
Our goal is to deepen the understanding of modern physical principles in an entertaining way with AHA! effects, to show their importance for daily life and the technology around us, and thus to increase the interest in science and technology in general.
From Monday to Friday we mainly dedicate ourselves to our students - now we offer pupils and the interested public the opportunity to do this together with us and thus experience physics in a perhaps slightly different way.
Who?
You will have fun and learn something at the same time. We wish for open-minded listeners, many questions and interesting discussions. No special previous knowledge is required for participation. What counts is an open mind towards physics. Therefore, for example, pupils who do not necessarily want to study a scientific subject but want to broaden their general knowledge about nature can also participate. Together we want to make the Saturdays with physics an experience!
We recommend taking part in the lectures from the 5th school year. For younger, inquisitive children and young people, we also offer the
Mathematics on Saturday: There is a lot to discover!
This is waiting for visitors in the seminar room right next to the physics lecture hall! Families are welcome to split up depending on their interests.
Where & When?
On 4 Saturdays in March, May, September and November, a varied program awaits you in the physics lecture hall of the lecture hall building on the Heide-Süd campus in Halle, Theodor-Lieser-Str. 6.
After each lecture, there will be an opportunity to talk to the lecturing professors, ask questions and discuss.
We kindly ask you to register - exclusively electronically using our registration form (see left side column).
We look forward to seeing you!
